I'll rather go to jail than obey mandatory voting Law- Olisa Agbakoba

Human rights lawyer and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Olisa Agbakoba, has criticised the proposed bill seeking to make voting mandatory in Nigeria, declaring that he would rather be jailed than comply with such a law.
Agbakoba said this while speaking on Monday’s edition of Channels Television’s Politics Today, arguing that the National Assembly fails to address the root causes of voter apathy in the country.
He however listed the causes of lack of interest in politics which he stated is as a result of government not fulfilling their promises which is the main reason citizens do not want to vote or take part in election.

According to BBC, Money and power affects male self-esteem and men feel bad when their wives earn more

What we earn can affect our mental wellbeing, especially when we compare ourselves to those around us – and it can negatively influence male mental health.

"It stings your pride a little bit that your wife's the one out making all the money," said Dave, of his status as a stay-at-home dad.

"I'm, you know, a guy's guy... you tell them you stay home, and... they think you're some feminine dude," said Tom. Both were participants in an in-depth research study where both men and women were interviewed about the impact of the women in the relationships being the breadwinners.

Another, Brendon, had good reason to feel judged: family members labelled him "the house bitch".

These are but three examples of the judgement experienced by men who don't have jobs outside the home, and whose female partners are the primary earners.

At least 38 killed by Israeli strikes in Gaza in half-hour period, medics says

At least 38 Palestinians were killed in a series of Israeli air strikes across the Gaza Strip during a half-hour period overnight, according to Palestinian medics.

Israeli warplanes struck several locations, including a school in eastern Gaza City, and an abandoned fuel station sheltering displaced families in central Gaza's Nuseirat refugee camp, according to the Hamas-run civil defence agency.

It added that rescue teams were facing major difficulties reaching the wounded due to a lack of equipment and the intensity of the bombardment.

The attack comes after Israel issued a sweeping evacuation order for civilians in Gaza in preparation for what it said was an "unprecedented attack".
